This quaint reflection of the past is for those who want to come to experience the history of Waxahachie! You will be sure to enjoy the nostalgia and coziness of this restored 1925 home, it is a journey back into the past when things were a lot simpler. When we were working on this house, we loved thinking about all the memories that have been made here in the past and dreamed about the memories for the future and guests being able to come in and enjoy a reflection of what used to be. We have loved every moment of restoring this vintage home, putting in long hours of hard work into it ourselves, as well as seeking the most talented craftsman from the local Ellis county area! You will enjoy relaxing on the front porch swing as well as maybe taking an evening stroll to see other homes in this historical district.
The original shiplap walls, hardwood floors and original restored wood windows are timeless, the kitchen and baths are beautifully updated and pristine. You will hear the train since we are close to downtown which is a 3 minute drive or a 15 minute walk for festivals or concerts.
In June 2024 a Certificate of Appropriateness was approved by the Heritage Preservation Commission and in December 2024 the home was recognized by the Historic Waxahachie, Inc. as built c.1925 as worthy of preservation. We are just next door if you need us to address any questions or concerns. We hope that you will enjoy staying here and being our guest. We are conveniently located within Walmart's ZipLine drone delivery area for super fast online deliveries.
